Aloe Vera Gel?! Primer, moisturizer, miracle cure?
Makeupalley Junkie I am, I keep hearing about new, alternative remedies and tricks to achieve certain effects. Often I test this out then to pure amusement, but now and then sometimes it's a hit.
Aloe Vera gel should therefore be the replacement for a traditional primer.
I found the idea very appealing since Aloe Vera is especially good for sensitive skin - like mine - is and has a calming effect. In addition, I had already tested a few products from the Aloe Vera line of "The Body Shop" and found them very good. However, I initially thought that Aloe Vera gel is another of those things that we in health food stores or pharmacies must now, like so many things to Makeupalley are advertised. That is why I rejected the idea first with a little melancholy.
The market for general primers in Germany is not very good. Either they are extremely expensive, or so extremely low that I do not trust them on the road. For all the love the prices are low, my skin is sensitive and I can not imagine that they do not respond to the cheap ingredients. And yet I have
rumprobiert. Of the Alverde (the transparent make-up was supposed to function as a primer), the L'Oreal (terrible, terrible packaging and totally overpriced!) And the famous Prep n Prime MAC (only overpriced, but very high quality). Seriously I can I just do not make for a primer, the pay I have to buy new every 3 months to be over 20 €. Especially with the money I'll throw out for foundation and concealer.
So you can say, I was frustrated. All the more happy I was when I saw her standing at the aimless running around with my husband Ross, several tubes of Aloe Vera Gel. Just below 5 €, the price was right, so I took it home with you.
There was put to the kidneys.
The job:
The gel initially feels very cool on the skin, so I can imagine well as remedies for sunburn. The job itself is easy, it takes only a little Product, which can be distributed very well.
The skin:
First, the gel is slightly sticky to the skin. This suggests, however, when the product is fully absorbed. My skin is stretched, if I go it alone when applying moisturizer. If I lay underneath a cream, it's perfect because it calms my skin irritation (redness small example) and provides extra moisture without being greasy.
As Moisturizer:
I think people with oily skin could use the gel well as the only moisturizer. It is lightweight and does not have this "creamy" feeling on the skin which is difficult schonmal can feel.
people with dry skin will surely have a more cream or serum have to use less.
for sensitive skin I can absolutely recommend. My skin was very irritated and modified with the Aloe Vera Gel has the completely dissolved.
as primers:
I have now twice used as a primer. Each under a different Foundation.
The order of the MAC Studio Sculpt it was very beautiful. The product was distributed more evenly and better and could better connect with the skin.
The MAC Pro Long Wear I can not notice any difference.
The shelf life has changed for me is not great.
Conclusion:
I like the product very much and use it really hard. But not really as a primer, but rather as a supplement to day care. Because it makes a very good job and I would want to give it up again. Irritated skin from sunburn, allergies or hormonal imbalance, I can only put your heart, especially because it is very cheap.
Also, I am very grateful to my Studio Sculpt Foundation has made more palatable, after I was disappointed in her Sun
In this sense, I can only express an absolute Recommended!
